The Braver Group

The Braver Group is a movement disguised as a company. We are equipping people to be braver about how they lead.

The founders, Professor Lynda Holt and Professor Brian Dolan OBE, bring decades of experience in leadership, healthcare and education, and have influenced working lives of thousands of leaders.

We work at the intersection of leadership, culture, and humanness, helping your people to lead with courage, compassion, and clarity, and helping you grow cultures that heal and not harm.

Our work is underpinned by behavioural science, psychology and neuroscience, as well as practical leadership experience.

We create the space needed for reflection and growth for leaders making tough calls, holding messy conversations, and juggling competing priorities, often with little time to decompression, or even process, what they are experiencing.

With a combination of challenge and care we’ll help you identify and break the patterns that are keeping you stuck, stay aligned with the things that matter to you, and be braver about how you connect, what you contribute and the teams you build.

With a small, beautifully curated, team of coaches and facilitators, the Braver Group is reshaping the future of leadership.

Professor Lynda Holt

Founder & CEO of The Braver Group and Honorary Professor of Social Leadership, University of Salford

Lynda is a cultural force in leadership. She has led through crisis, conflict, and complexity for over 30 years, as an emergency care clinician and in the boardrooms of national systems. She brings operational credibility, emotional fluency, and enough challenge to enable shift.

She created the ICARE Braver Leaders Framework, for leaders who want to stay connected, retain compassion, and act with integrity in systems that often make that feel impossible.

Lynda partners with senior teams as a peer and pattern breaker. When things are messy, emotional, or misaligned, she’ll help you clear the noise, make brave decisions, and create cultures that enable people to be their best.

At her best, Lynda is a creative, nature loving photographer and writer, her work and wisdom are underpinned by both years of expertise in behavioural science and her wild belief in the power of connected, courageous humans healing together.
